5 minute cold email masterclass
Hey there
Leo here from 1000x Leads
Before we get started:
Check out this video my Co-Founder made. It is 35 minutes of pure gold on how to improve your sales process so you can sell more deals.
Now, here are the laws of a good cold email script:
Do not talk about what you want. Only talk about what they want. Frame everything you do in terms of how it would benefit them.
Do not hide your intentions or give false compliments. Get to the point and don't be phony.
Your emails should be short and to the point. No long paragraphs. They have not asked to be contacted. They definitely don't want to read paragraphs upon paragraphs of text.
Always have some way of moving forward such as "if I could help you do X with Y (your offer), would you be interested in speaking?
Try and incorporate any kind of social proof that you can, and make sure your offer is very, very clear.’
And #6 would be a great offer.
But, note this:
Most offers are not seen as inherently valuable due to market awareness. They don’t care about what you’re selling and cannot perceive the value you’re driving.
It’s like saying “hey we have this thing that’s really valuable, it’s called a Broccoli! It’s going to help you live longer, and I’ll give it to you for free.”
People want a 6 pack but not from broccoli. They want it from chocolate protein shake.
So it’s not always the best idea to lead with your main offer, especially because:
it probably requires a large commitment
it is unlikely that they are ready to convert
you will have to rely on killer sales ability
To solve this, you can simply offer something that is:
Low friction (easy to get started with)
Very valuable
Solving a problem that a lot of people in the market have
Free or low cost
Instead of trying to give people Broccoli, or trying to repackage our Broccoli as a protein shake, we can just give them an entree, or front end offer that gets them in the door.
Once they’re in, you can sell them almost anything.
This is called a front end offer.
A front end offer is an offer specifically aimed at creating the maximum number of customers, which means it usually has lower friction to purchase so more people are interested.
For example, if I knew a lot of agencies struggled with their show rate, I might create a front end offer where I fix it for them for $1.
