Why Most Agencies Don't Scale

A common belief on the internet is that marketing agencies are a good vehicle to get to 50-100k per month, but they are really hard to scale past that.

Personally, I think this is cope for people who gave up to start selling courses.

No judgement on selling courses, but it is misleading to say ‘it doesn’t scale.’

They actually scale very well, because the LTV of clients is massive.

So if you can figure out how to turn cold prospects into customers, that might mean you get paid 20-100k/yr per client.

Not many other vehicles can say that.

The reason most people don’t get to this point is:

  • They don’t get enough leads

  • They aren’t good enough at fulfilment to get results at scale

  • Their agency relies on them too much (personal brand or you do all the fulfilment and nobody else can do it)

  • You have no ‘leverage’ so you can’t charge real prices

These are just problems to solve, NOT reasons why an agency can’t scale.

Maybe they are reasons your agency can’t scale.

If you don’t know how to solve the problems, that is not an issue with the vehicle.

That is an issue with your skills.

It is natural that people who sell online courses/coaching (myself included) would try and claim that the reason they don’t do it anymore is because it doesn’t scale. It’s a get out of jail free card, but it is simply not true.

I personally still have stakes in agencies because they are the best business model. Recurring revenue, easy cashflow, predictable.

They are the best.

I’ll be honest - is it easy to scale an agency past $100,000/mo?

No.

It is simple though.

We just had a guy go from 40k/mo to $120k/mo in about 6 months.

Angus just hit his first 100k/mo.

And we have hundreds of agency owners getting wins every week.

The difference is they just have the exact blueprint to do all the stuff they need.

Paid ads, employee training, getting your time back. You name it.

If they get bottlenecked, we remove it immediately.

Most agency owners get crushed when something isn’t going right, because they are alone and probably haven’t done it before.

So yeah, it makes sense that it would be hard to scale - you have never done it.

My advice would just be to get advice from people who have.

Simply put.

If you want to work directly with me and my partner Matt to help you scale, you can check out all the details, pricing, how it works etc here (link).

I can confidently say we have some of the best shit on the internet for scaling agencies. Where other people have failed to get results, we have delivered.

Check out the doc, book a call or just buy it off the link, and I’ll onboard you myself in the next 24 hours.

Also:

1000x Leads will go from 12 months of access to 4 months of access starting on September 15th.

Currently, for a one-time fee of $4,000, you get 12 months of access to 1-1 feedback via Slack, live calls with me and Matt, and everything you need to scale (literally).

Starting on September 15th, this will be reduced to 4 months. There will be no exceptions to this increase for any reason. Not fake scarcity, it is just what is happening.

So if you were thinking about getting access it would probably be smart to get inside before the 15th.
