In todays email I want to talk about the highest leverage skill in 2024.

A lot of people talk about copywriting, sales, recruiting and leadership as the best skills, but none of these come close to the one I have in mind.

Every single other skill is nowhere close to this.

The skill of ‘judgement’ is one of the only things that will literally impact every area of your life. Business, relationships, happiness, health, you name it.

In 2024, information is abundant. We have probably consumed more information than our grandparents ever did (by a large margin too).

If you want to learn a skill, or get a job done, you can do that easily. For example, if one day you decide to setup LinkedIn prospecting, it is very easy to either watch YouTube to learn how, hire a consultant, agency, or new employee to do it for you.

So as a result, the skill that is truly important (and high leverage) is actually the art of choosing what to do.

Steering the ship.

Because, once you make the decision to do X, the actual implementation of that is not really that complex in comparison to the choice of doing the thing.

Under the premise that you can hit any target if you try hard enough, the real skill becomes choosing a target to aim at.

There is a lot of nuance here, but what I wanted to do was introduce this idea to you so you could think about it.

I don’t think I need to extrapolate much because I would imagine most people on this list are quite high IQ.
