The Biggest Trap Of 2024

In the time period we live in, there is unlimited information.

And it’s not bad information either.

It’s Hormozi going over a sales hack, or whichever guru is posting a YouTube video today. Or people posting advice on Twitter in real time while they’re scaling their businesses.

It is unlimited. And it’s good.

You have probably consumed 10x more information than your grandparents would have in their entire lives.

The problem with this is that constantly ‘taking on’ information will actually destroy you.

I hear it a lot:

“I don’t need more information”

And I 1000% agree. You need much less information.

When you go on Twitter, let’s say you read 100 tweets.

Of those 100, it is likely that 99 of them are not applicable to you in any way, but you are taking on mental load by reading them.

Especially when the tweet itself is potent, but not directed at you.

For example, it might say “never turn off your outbound prospecting!”

But maybe you’re in the position where you should turn it off.

Or it might say “every business owner should be on YouTube!”

But maybe you shouldn’t be on there yet.

So when people tell me they ‘don’t need more information’ - I agree.

However - does that mean you don’t need any information at all?

I wouldn’t say so.

You just need to choose better information to consume, and make sure it actually applies to you in your exact situation.

It’s pretty high stakes.

If you do this wrong, your bandwidth gets destroyed.

It’s a question of prioritisation.

My solution has typically just not going on social media and muting/unfollowing people who give bad advice.

The hard part comes when it’s someone you respect, and you have to just think for yourself “does this apply to me?” and ask “how can I leverage this information?”

The reality is, 99% will not be applicable to you, and you will need to shrug it off like water off a ducks back.

Reject productised advice, stick to the plan, scale hard.

PS:

This is why 1000x Leads is less of a ‘program’ and more of a direct plan.

It’s less of an ‘info product’ and more of a ‘this is exactly what you need to do, avoid everything else.’

It’s kind of like a plan rather than a course. Because I do actually agree that you don’t need more info.

You need clarity.
