A change you will have to make
The other day my friend asked me:
“You have scaled from zero to now pretty fast. I know it’s a cliche question, but what do you think it is that has allowed you to reach this level so quickly?”
It is kind of weird hearing that, because the people around me who are 10x richer make me feel poor on a daily basis, but I gave him an answer anyway:
From what I see with a lot of people in the space that take a very long time, it is usually one of these things that hold them back:
They believe that making money is hard, overcomplicate it, and then mess up
They think they are working, but never get anything done
They see a list of tasks and allow themselves to get overwhelmed. This kills their productivity
They struggle with getting caught in their head (vicious cycle of blackpilling)
They say things like “I was busy putting out fires” or “I was building systems” as reasons why they can’t do what they know they should
And the funny thing is, I wouldn’t say I am ‘immune’ to these things, but I just avoided most of that.
For sure there have been times when I have overcomplicated something, gotten overwhelmed or coped a bit.
But the reason I’ve been able to grow quickly anyway has just been that I never put any stock into that stuff, and it never changed my self image.
I simply did not take it into account, and just did what I needed to do.
It’s only ever about making the next logical move.
If the next logical move is that you need to get better at outreach? Pay someone and test more.
If the next logical move is that you need to step back and make a plan? Make a plan.
And if it feels like ‘it’s over’ then get a coffee and go for a walk and it will go away. Make sure your health is good and you’re doing the right daily tasks, and make sure you’re looking after everyone who works with you (clients and employees).
If you can do that, you won’t have issues.
Not rocket science.
It’s the mindset of ‘I will continue to rise’ instead of ‘I have no idea if I’m going to make it.’
All the mindset stuff can be a bit cringe, but this is just the truth.
When you know you are on the right path and you are physiologically in check, life is great, even on the days when you get the shit kicked out of you.
And that makes you go fast.
Namaste.
