The downfall of 'no brainer' offers
Hey.
Leo here from 1000x Leads.
Today I am emailing talking about the downfall of no brainer offers.
Before we get into it, make sure to check out this training I made about how to get clients without making crazy claims.
Deep Dive:
When Alex Hormozi first released 100m Offers, it was crazy how well the strategies worked.
But, as time went on, making a ‘no brainer’ offer became much more common, to the point where now there is a very low level of trust in the market.
Which means that most people’s “perceived liklihood of achievement” is quite low when people make these offers.
This is just a fancy way of saying ‘people will tell you they can deliver the world, then deliver nothing.’
They won’t trust you or believe you
You will be on the hook to get them a massive result
You enter the relationship with the wrong frame
You set crazy expectations
You will work your way down to making zero profit as the offer gets ‘better’ and ‘better’
Peter Thiel said “competition is for losers” which is true, except we still need to get clients without making crazy claims.
To do this, we use front end offers or ‘lead magnets’
Offering a lead magnet makes it 100x more likely that someone will engage with you.
If someone doesn't know you, doesn't trust you, and doesn't like you, why would they respond to your email or advertising
It wouldn't even make sense to do so.
Especially when you realise that in any market, only 3% of people will be ‘looking to buy’ which means that if you reach out with a ‘no brainer’ very few of them will be ready to convert anyway.
"B-Bu-But, Isn't Creating Tons of Lead Magnets A Lot of Work?"
Implementing this overall marketing system produces a "de facto moat" between you and others who provide the same service.
You will be generating new leads left and right, 24/7/365 with all your lead magnets, while your "competitors" will still be at the "this is a lot of work" stage.
Here is the criteria for a good lead magnet:
Targets a Narrow Problem
That is Hyper Valuable to solve
Can be solved for Low-Medium COGs and is deliverable very quickly (eg PDF, Gamma doc, cold email setup)
Easy to consume for prospect (low effort)
Extremely high quality and fully solves problem
Provides a process for transition to sale
Most people mess up that last one.
If you send a lead a loom for a lead magnet, it is unlikely that they ever respond.
For a better transition to the sale, use a lead magnet or offer that forces them to engage with you more.
For example, if you offer a lead magnet of 1,000 personalised leads, they have to break down their ICP.
If you offer a lead magnet of 100 creators they can use for UGC, they will have to tell you more about their brand.
It might seem small, but you can use this to
Start a conversation
Use as bait for a 10-15 min phone call
→ Either way, 100x better than Loom video CTA
Actionable Tip of The Day:

Watch your leads 10x
Quote of The Day:
"Paid ads are the only casino on Earth, that with enough skill, you become the house."
