The Formula For A Good Day

If you really think about it, what does it cost for you to have a good day?

What does it cost for you to feel like a million bucks?

It’s probably not as much as you think.

It doesn’t cost anything to get 8-9 hours of sleep, then go for a walk when you wake up.

It is one of the simplest things of all time. Cave men would have done it.

But somehow, in 2024 we just simply don’t do things that will drastically change how we feel and go about our days.

It is not as if getting 8 hours of sleep is costing you so many hours of work. Are you Elon Musk? Do you genuinely need 18 hours per day to progress your business?

I know Elon is a long time reader of The Acquisition Letter, so Elon, if you’re reading this, keep killing it bro and throw me some retweets.

For those of you that are not Elon Musk, you can afford to take some luxuries like getting a full 8 hours.

The formula is simple:

  • Get 8 hours of sleep

  • Go for a walk in the morning

  • Get 3-5 hrs of deep work done

  • Take any calls you need to take

  • Go to the gym/do cardio

  • Spend time with people you like

Really not rocket science. Life is simple.

The only problem is if you are conscious of the need for these things, and you somehow convince yourself that you can’t do them.

You convince yourself you’re ‘too busy’ when in reality you probably waste hours per day when you’re not focused.

The only reason you can’t do these things is because you’re either lying to yourself, or just turning a blind eye to the fact that 80% of the stuff that makes you feel good and happy can be accessed RIGHT NOW for a very low cost.

It is simply a lack of presence and intention.

Maybe.

Just maybe.

Try to give yourself the time and space to make a conscious plan of what you want, what makes you feel fulfilled, what makes you feel energised etc.

If you had that, you could focus on living as many of the positive days as possible, and you could get rid of stuff that drains your energy over time.

And then maybe, just maybe your life would incrementally improve over the years.

Good deal?

Perhaps.

If you want to lock in, this short video will help.

Enjoy.
