How I Got 763 Leads For $2 Each (and booked 24 calls)
Not sure how many of you know this, but I still run my agency.
I run ads and consult in the sales process for a select few companies while helping them build the 1000x Leads funnel in a more hands on way.
I talk about it briefly in this video (link).
Earlier in the year I was fully focused on 1000x Leads, but I don’t want to be one of those people who just sells coaching and gets soft over time. Ew.
But anyway - in the first month of a launch for a client we booked 24 calls from $1900 in spend. 18 calls were qualified - which means we were running at about $105 per qualified call.
The offer is $16-32k up front, and the sales team is pretty dialled in so I could see this leading to a big return.
Unfortunately the sales process is 4-5 weeks so I will have to update you on that.
However - the real benefit here is the rest of the leads.
Yes - 24 of them booked a call.
But now there are 739 others who can buy a different offer or convert later.
So we liquidate our spend and make some profit from the ones that book a call straight away, then we can sell to the others over time.
That is why lead magnet funnels work so well.
In terms of how we did it, just a simple lead magnet funnel:
Got two lead magnets that were the most relevant to the ICP
Setup opt in pages, test until converting 50%+
Setup welcome flow pushing to call and other sales assets/lead magnets
Test ads every three days to get CPL down
Really the key with these kinds of funnels is knowing how to improve the numbers.
When you look at it objectively, there are only a few things you can do to get better KPIs:
Reduce cost per click on your ads (need it at 50c to get $1 leads)
Improve opt in rate (currently between 50-60%, so it’s no problem)
Improve the rest of the funnel (emails, YouTube, other lead magnets etc)
When you know this, you know there are just a few key skillsets to be able to crush lead gen.
You need to be able to make ads that get extremely low cost per click
You need to be able to test landing pages until you get a 50% opt in rate or higher
You need to be able to build the rest of the funnel
When you can do this - you can scale to 1000 leads per day pretty easily. As soon as these deals come through for my client, we will scale the campaign rapidly.
