An important mindset shift
“You can delay taking action to reach perfection, or you can take action so you can reach perfection”
A lot of times, it is easy to think “I don’t know how to do X” and use that as a reason to not do it.
It makes sense.
You don’t want to mess it up.
And it feels like if you do, the world will end.
But truly ask yourself:
“Why would you know how to do something if you’ve never done it before?”
It wouldn’t make sense.
The only way you get good, is by doing it a lot of times. So if you never do the thing because you aren’t good, you pretty much just prevent yourself from ever getting good. Congrats.
It is not like Mr Beast’s first video was any good.
He just started, and made the next video better each time.
So if you’re delaying something you know you should do:
Identify the thing, eg make YouTube videos
Figure out why you’re resisting (eg, you don’t know how to come up with ideas)
Unlock the bottleneck (learn the skill, get over limiting belief, do it anyway)
Execute
Make the next one better
Don’t stop
