How to liquidate customer acquisition costs (the right way)

Yesterday one of my clients asked me:

How do you make sure the people who try and get your front end offers, lead magnets, and freebies are actually qualified? I don’t want to be dealing with low end clients…”

I said “neither do I, here’s how you do it…

The easiest way is to change your CTA to ‘book a call to see if you qualify for the offer’ which serves the purpose of letting them know that the offer is not for everyone, even if it is cheap or free.

If you are charging money for the front end offer, then you simply just take your profit and don’t try to up-sell the client afterwards if they aren’t qualified, and make sure you make enough profit to ensure that it’s not a waste of time.

Because once you are printing from your front end offer to the point that you don’t really need to up-sell the client, that is when you start making decisions from complete abundance, and start working with your dream clients.

So put simply:

  1. You can disqualify them immediately, and also let them know of the potential to be disqualified so they don’t get too annoyed (bad for reputation)

  2. You can charge enough money to make it worth it, and not have to worry about if they are qualified or not

99% of your market will be unqualified anyway, you may as well profit from them to help propel you towards your dream clients.

One of the biggest problems companies have is that nobody knows who they are.

The reason it’s hard to solve this is because it costs money to reach more people and get more eyeballs in the form of advertising.

That’s why you want to monetise your low quality leads, because they help you make enough money from your advertising to allow you to get enough reach to find your ideal customers at scale.

The ideal customers are like a needle in the haystack, but when you monetise all your leads, it’s like the entire haystack becomes ideal, and then when you find the needle you’re like “oh cool.”
