The often forgotten secret behind a good offer

An important part of Offers that a lot of people miss is 'time to value' which is basically just how fast you can deliver a result for your customer.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the core result (eg if the core result is add 10k/mo, there might be value you can deliver that doesn't include adding 10k/mo) it just has to feel like the customer gets value.

For example:

I will never order Uber Eats from anywhere that is more than 30 minutes away. It's just too far.

I would rather pay an extra $10 to get the same food from somewhere closer that will deliver in 10 mins.

The reason?

I am in pain (hungry) and want a solution (food).

It's the same as your prospect.

They are in pain (no leads) and they want a solution (leads) as soon as possible.

Here are some questions to ask yourself to see if you can improve your time to value:

  • Can I change the order of steps I do once I sign a client to deliver 'value' faster?

  • How can you deliver the outcome faster?

  • If I only had 7 days to set everything up, what would I do?

  • If I had to have everything ready before the onboarding call I have with the client, what would I need to do?

  • How fast can I deliver a win once I sign a client if everything was perfect every time?

Actionable Tip of The Day:

(Implement this within 24hours)

  1. Review the steps you take to deliver results in your service/offer

  2. Consider “is there a way to re-arrange these to drive a key result faster?”

  3. Consider if there is value you are already delivering that you just need to notify the customer of. For example, you might be already delivering email flows in the first 7 days, but you are missing out on communicating “hey we just got a win.” Remember, value is subjective.
