On: Managing Complexity While Scaling

Got a message on Twitter the other day.

“My only hang up with your approach is the added complexity of all the additional channels, offers, funnels etc.

It doesn’t seem manageable big picture unless you’ve got a big team with a tonne of outsourcing - which I don’t see how doesn’t compress margins down way below 50%.”

My immediate thought was - let’s get real here.

You are scaling to multi 7-8 figures.

  • Do you think there won’t be a bit of complexity?

  • Are you not aware that you will need a team to handle most of the work?

  • Do you think margins just magically stay above 50% at scale with an agency?

Lol, most of the agency influencers just scale an agency to a decent revenue number and like 20% margin.

So in a way - you are right in thinking ‘wow this stuff is complex.’

Yes, it is hard to hit 900k/mo lol.

But - that doesn’t mean you can’t add 50-100k/mo in recurring revenue using the same systems and tools, but applied in a specific way.
