How to reach perfection

A lot of people tell themselves:

“I will perfect it, and then I will launch”

But in my experience that has always been a flawed mindset.

In my book, you can either delay taking action so you can reach perfection…

Or,

You can take action so you can reach perfection.

Truthfully, whenever I have launched my first campaign, first ad, or first piece of content, it’s always gone terribly.

So I just launched.

Got feedback.

Fixed it like 5 times.

And then eventually would get results.

I figured if I test fast enough, it doesn’t matter how wrong I am the first time, if I just get a bit closer with each test.

Eventually I just came to the conclusion:

“Wow, how smart do I think I am if I believe I can read the minds of customers and predict what they would like without ever asking them? Who do I think I am?”

As it turns out, trying to read the customers minds in terms of what they want is kind of arrogant.

Obviously there’s a line between releasing something terrible and ‘taking action’ but most of the time from what I’ve seen, people struggle more with taking action than they do releasing bad stuff.

In other words, most people are more likely to overthink than over act.

A good idea would be to figure out which one of these you tend to lean towards, then simply mitigate that by getting someone on your team who is the opposite to you.

If you don’t have a team member that is opposite to you, find a friend.

If you don’t have any friends - I’m sorry to hear that but it’s probably over for you.

Just kidding.

But seriously if you are a person who tends to over think and try to perfect things, find someone who encourages you to take more action.

If you usually release stuff before it’s ready because you always rush, find someone who encourages you to have higher standards for what you put out.

This pairing usually leads to far better results over a long time period.

Yin & yang.

By the way, if you haven’t seen my video about how I reached 100k/mo in take home profit, I suggest you watch it.

You can check it out here (link).

I talk about the three things that I learnt along the way, and I can almost guarantee that watching the video will help you avoid some of the mistakes I made along the way.
