Responding To YouTube Rage Comment
The other day I posted a YouTube video about my daily routine.
In the comments, someone was upset for some reason:
“Where are you current ads? send me your ads library link... yall saying "paid ads" we are so good at paid ads, when you arent even spending 1k/day yourself.”
We actually do run paid ads, he just couldn’t find them lol.
In the comment before I said 1000x Leads’ main sales channel is YouTube, and that different companies have different strategies, but for whatever reason he was annoyed about me talking about paid ads.
I really only mentioned it as one of many high leverage tasks you should be doing daily, but it revealed a few interesting points so I wanted to send an email about it.
Cheers for the free content idea anon.
Someone Less Qualified Is Making More Than You
Let’s say we didn’t run any paid ads.
And that Matt didn’t run any paid ads either like this guy is saying. (here is a breakdown of a 7k/day ad funnel btw).
That would mean someone far less qualified than the YouTube commenter was making tonnes of money and getting clients talking about something that he is more qualified about.
I completely understand where he’s coming from, I would be annoyed as well.
But it also means he needs to stop coping and start posting stuff.
As you might have guessed, this guy was an anon who has never posted.
There is a chance he is an expert media buyer, but likely gets no clients from YouTube.
He might have limiting beliefs about how qualified he is, and is therefore projecting in the YouTube comments.
But either way.
The lesson is that there definitely is some idiot out there who is less qualified than you who makes way more money just because they have the balls to post their knowledge.
So post more YouTube videos, cope less, and get richer. Namaste.
Critical Thinking
The human brain often likes to take the ‘path of least resistance’ aka ‘shortcuts.’
That is why we categorise things, it’s why we judge people and it’s why we often jump to conclusions.
In this case, the guy was curious about why we wouldn’t focus that much on paid ads for our business but then recommend it so much for others.
Which is fine, it is the natural thing.
But it doesn’t take into account:
We actually do run paid ads lol (see funnel breakdown)
We have spent far more time on the product before really pushing paid ads as hard as we can. This style of consulting/info business works great with organic YouTube + sick product
All it takes for us to do multi 7 figures per year is post consistent YouTube videos
1000x Leads is not our only business we might run paid ads for
There are many reasons why you may or may not use a specific strategy to grow a certain business.
So like I said, it is natural for the brain to take shortcuts, but it is not really the full story.
You Are Allowed To Not Watch
While I never claim to be an advertising God, I have definitely learned some stuff from working on my own ad accounts and clients’.
I like to share these insights on YouTube and Twitter.
Matt has grown and exited 3 agencies. He also likes to share insights on what has worked for him.
Many times, we acknowledge that there are many ways to skin a cat.
So if you are triggered that you couldn’t find our ad library, you are allowed to not watch our YouTube videos and think we are terrible at ads.
No prob.
Either way, the video is a banger and if you haven’t watched it yet I strongly recommend you check it out.
It covers what to do every day, and there is some alpha in there that will help you a tonne.
Check it out (linK).
